Prof. Pranab Ranjan Das is Professor of Practice in the area of Finance and Accounting at Indian Institute of Management, Jammu.
He has 37 years of work experience in three organizations namely State Bank of India (SBI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). He has also worked in two overseas assignments at PT Bank SBI Indonesia as President Director heading the Board of Directors for 3 years 2 months and at SBI (Mauritius) Limited as Vice President (Treasury and Planning) for 4 years. He has handled other important assignments like heading the Finance and Operation vertical of Local Head office of SBI at Chandigarh, being the Fund Manager for Pension funds like Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and Chief Dealer of SBI handling USD- INR.
He has worked in the areas of General Management, Investments, Treasury, Risk Management, Project Appraisal and Finance, Micro Finance, Credit Management, Operation and Planning & Review. His interest lies in Investments, Treasury, Risk Management, Financial systems and Markets and Project Finance.
He has also attended various training programmes on Leadership, Treasury and Financial Management held in collaboration with reputed Institutions like ISB, IIFT, XLRI, ASCI, NIBM, BTC (RBI) and Euromoney.
